Red Bull Team Principal, Christian Horner (50), has today been put under an external investigation after a member of staff made an allegation regarding potential inappropriately controlling behaviour. Horner has emphatically denied the allegation saying,
"I completely deny these claims"
Red Bull confirmed today that an investigation is taking place and was quoted as saying,
"After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation. This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister.
The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time."
Horner is one of the most successful and longest serving team principles having secured 6 constructors Championships, and 7 drivers during his time with the team. Of course Horner is no stranger to controversy or indeed investigation, though these have until now all been related to team business.
